Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren started up their firm in 1993, their first step towards achieving success.
Their creations can be described as a synthesis between fashion and art, therefore they cannot be simply defined “designers”, they are also unpredictable showmen.
For Victor &Rolf the world of fashion is a platform for artistic and technical experimentation where clothing aesthetic and intellectual values are as important as any of the other fine arts. For this reason their creations are characterized by exaggerated volumes and sculptural shapes.
As they once stated “For us fashion is an antidote to reality”, and this is clearly visible from their magnificent artistic creations.
With Viktor&Rolf the borderline between fashion and art seems to no longer exist in order to create something that can be considered at the same time extraordinary and chic.
