Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the most powerful of them all? The celebrity world's top 25 stylists have been called to rank in The Hollywood Reporter's first ever Most Powerful Stylists list, and Rachel Zoe - whose roster of clients includes Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz and Eva Mendes (she also styled Anne Hathaway for the Oscars) - has come out on top.
"An A-list client roster, the Bravo reality show, multiple designing and fashion consulting deals and a best-selling book make Zoe the most powerful stylist in Hollywood," says THR. So who else made the list? Coming second and third, respectively, were formerVogue staffer Kate Young (whose clients include Natalie Portman and Alicia Keys) and Petra Flannery (Mila Kunis, Emma Stone and Zoe Saldana). Jen Rade (Angelina Jolie, Pink and Cher) and Anna Bingemann (Claire Danes,Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts and Tina Fey) round out the top 5.
Also included are Christina Ehrlich (Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams) at 6, Leslie Fremar (Reese Witherspoon, Charlize Theron and Julianne Moore) at 9, L'Wren Scott (Nicole Kidman) at 13, and Tanya Gill(Hilary Swank and Jane Fonda) at 17.
Notably, Zoe's former assistant Brad Goreski is on the list, ranking 22nd, after landing Jessica Alba as his client and clinching the job of styling Kate Spade's Fall 2011 collection. "A-list clients, red-carpet hits (and misses) and profitable gigs such as TV hosting, book deals, commercials all factor in to who makes the list and how high they rank," explains THR of its selection process.
