Salvatore Ferragamo, an italian footwears designer, in 1914 decided to move to the USA and in 1923 he opened the Hollywood Boot Shop, becoming in a short time the most appreciated shoemaker among the American Celebrities. In 1927 he came back to Italy where he started to produce footwers targeted to the American market. In 1928, he started up the company that brings his own name: Salvatore Ferragamo srl.
After the designer's death,occurred in 1960, the guide of the company is assigned to his sons and wife who were able to continue the rise of the brand Ferragamo.
After the conquest of Hollywood, thanks to the union between originality and quality of Made in Italy that charatterized his creations, Ferragamo started to earn great success also in Italy. Salvatore Ferragamo's style, symbol of a timless elegance,continue to be one of the most appreciated brand among celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta JOnes,Sarah Jessica Parker and Penelope Cruz.
